I got a Selfridges gift card for Christmas from my father yesterday. His presents have definitely improved from the days of T-shirts with NASA on the front..which actually now I think are bl**dy cool. I’m ecstatic at the thought of having a bright yellow carrier bag over my arm ( A modest dinky one that yes I want slice of that lifestyle sort of people carry lunch for work in, for I can’t buy enough to fill one of those giant I’ve got the entire cake of that lifestyle and I’m eating every crumb type ones) but I can’t help but feel a little bit Selfishridges- Pun very much intended. Spending lots of money on myself always makes me think of the struggling polar bears up North amongst all the other things wrong with this world.

Will blowing said gift card at the Chanel make-up counter make me feel better? Well probably for a good week or so.

Balmain Beauties

Balmain’s AW 09 collection has certainly been making the rounds in celebrity circles. With the likes of Rihanna, Blake Lively, Shikara, Kate Moss and now Sienna all indulging- Balmainia is catching, (faster than swine flu). They have indeed sparked the sparkly, sequined shoulder padded frocks all over a high street near you. I fear I’m delirious with Balmain fever too, and succumbed to a River Island, sequined, black, shoulder padded blazer.
