Love your Style…January Jones

January Jones of Mad Men fame, I love you. Every time you Grace Kelly my TV screen, I want to run up, hug it and tell you how wonderfully lovely you are. Currently playing Betty Draper, wife to the dapper 1960s ad man, Donald Draper, Miss Jones is floating my style boat. Set in the early 60s (before things got all mini and swinging) January’s wardrobe is reminiscent of the classic movie star, all Kelly and Hepburn. Bring back those heady days I say…red lips, long gloves, swing coats, full skirts and proper gowns for evening. When women really were women and men were all briefcase carrying, hat-tipping gents. Real bone fide old school glamour.

Off-screen, January’s still hitting all the right notes – even the high ones. Less bound by heavy 1960s fabrics and apron strings,  but still keeping that old starlet elegance, with a twist of modern lemon, Jan is turning heads and dropping jaws. Miss Jones has most definitely stolen my little fashion heart. (Last year I gave it away…the very next day she gave it away…this year I’m giving it to someone special.)

  1. It’s a good look indeed, but you’ve got to really invest in the old school look to pull it off. Have you seen Mad Men? I haven’t but I hear good things, and this little lady and your wittiness makes it look even better.
Grace Kelly is my 8th cousin once removed, according to Ancestry.com, just thought I’d throw that in there.
